Privacy at Naka
Last updated: October 2026. Plain words; if anything here is unclear, email mnpotera@gmail.com.
1. Joining the beta waitlist
When you join, we save what you type into the form: your email, your name and how you heard about Naka, and if you give them, your school and what you're most excited to use it for. We also save which email boxes you ticked and when, which version of the wording you saw, and the invite code in your link, if there was one. We don't ask for your phone number.
2. What we use it for
We email you when your spot in the beta opens. That box is needed to join. If you ticked it, we send Naka's beta updates (about every two weeks). We keep the choices from your first sign-up; to change them later, email us. No spam, and you can unsubscribe from any email.
3. What we never do
We will never sell your data. We don't use it for ads. We don't share your waitlist details with anyone except the services that run Naka (below).
The founders don't browse what you write. If we ever need to look at an entry to fix something, we'll ask you first.
4. The services that run Naka
Supabase stores the waitlist and your account. Vercel hosts the site. When we start emailing, we'll name the email service here first.
Once you're in the beta, what you write or say in your journal is processed by Google Gemini to make your highlights and answers. If Gemini is unavailable or returns an answer Naka can't use, the same request goes to OpenAI or Anthropic instead. Search uses Google Gemini only.
If you speak instead of typing, your browser turns your voice into text using its own speech service (Google in Chrome, Apple in Safari) before anything reaches Naka.
5. Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any email we send. To be taken off the waitlist, or to have everything about you deleted, email mnpotera@gmail.com. We'll do it and confirm.
6. Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll email people on the waitlist before it takes effect.
